Youmou to Ohana formed in 2004 and they started playing music at local cafes, which were perfect places to play their laid back, easy to listen to pop music.

They made a big splash in the Japanese music industry in 2008 with their album "Konnichi wa.", which included "falling", a track written by British singer songwriter, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Japanese super producer, Keiichi Tomita from "Tomita Lab".

Since 2007, they have been constantly releasing their "LIVE IN LIVING" series, which replicated the feel of their live performances. They have currently released 4 "LIVE IN LIVING" albums.

Youmou to Ohana were invited to play at the Fuji Rock Festival in 2008, which was less than 1 year after their major debut. Since then, their songs have been featured in numerous commercials and have also been featured as theme songs for various feature films.

Recently, Youmou to Ohana has been playing at events specifically for mothers and their children, called "Cafe Live for Moms" as well as other venues, continuing to spread their unique and infectious brand of easy listening pop music.
